Beethoven Quartet Op.59-3; Haydn Quartet Op.64-5 ("Lark"); Wolf Italian Serenade

The Fine Arts Quartet's Haydn performance is very persuasive, giving the impression of a deep understanding of Haydn. You can feel the meaning and beauty of playing a song with four voices on four stringed instruments. This "Lark" is especially exquisite. Rather than trying to play well or make it sound good, the correct evaluation is that the performance is at the highest level that only those who have mastered Haydn's string quartets can reach. The beauty of this album is something that will remain in your heart. It was worth the search. Of course the rating is [+++++]
