Naxos releases the Fine Arts Quartet's latest recording to fabulous reviews. March 2013.
The Fine Arts Quartet, with brilliant Brazilian pianist Cristina Ortiz, recorded three magnificent chamber works by the French master Camille Saint-Saëns: the Piano Quintet, Op.14, Piano Quartet, Op.41, and the rarely performed Barcarolle, Op.108 in the composer's piano quartet version. This is the Quartet's first recording with its eminent new cellist, Robert Cohen. Sessions for this CD, the Quartet’s 12th for Naxos, took place March 28–30, 2012 at the Performing Arts Center of the State University of New York (Purchase College) and were produced and engineered by multiple Grammy® Award winner Steven Epstein. See Naxos News story about the recording session.
